Ghost Matcha is proud to announce that we have won three prestigious accolades at this year’s Great Taste Awards, the ‘Oscars’ for the speciality food & drink industry.
Following extensive judging and blind-tasting by an expert panel, our signature Original ceremonial grade organic matcha scooped a coveted Gold Star award in the matcha green tea category, as did our dark roasted Hōjicha and Genmaicha organic green tea powders.
This means that every variety in our collection has won a Great Taste Award and can now feature the famous black and gold Great Taste symbol. We are delighted that the quality of our speciality matcha range has been independently recognised and we’re especially proud to be the first and only matcha company in the UK to have had not only our matcha honoured at these awards, but our Hōjicha and Genmaicha too.
The Great Taste Awards is the world’s largest and most trusted food awards scheme and has been held by the Guild of Fine Food for over 30 years. The winners are selected by the ultimate food and drink jury – 500 expert judges, including food critics, chefs and restaurateurs.
